Reading the 2012 Tea-Leaves: Shapiro's Strength In Montgomery County

State Representative Josh Shapiro represents a key area of Pennsylvania, with his constituency from the key Montgomery County (Philadelphia suburbs) area. Shapiro is seeking to leave the state legislature, and to join the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners. He's in pretty good standing to begin with too: He has around $900,000 on hand. The Democrats will have nearly a million on hand for this race.

This is a good sign for national Democrats. If they are running stronger in 2011 in these type of counties, they will run strong in 2012. I take this as a positive.
