Chicago has a new top man, as Rahm Emanel, former Congressman and White House Chief-of-Staff, has won the job of Mayor, becoming the first new Mayor since 1989. Emanuel rolled to the win, coming in with 54%, avoiding a run-off election. He is the first member of the Obama Administration to win major elected office on his own since their 2008 victory.Chicago picked a hell of a Mayor. With global connections, brains, and prowess in Washington and Springfield, Emanuel gives the city the best chance to compete. Great choice by a great city.
