So.... the mentally ill, high speed rail, family planning, children and mothers' health, community health centers, job training for the unemployed, arts, food for women and children, national parks, the Smithsonian, inspecting our food for safety, law enforcement, and even energy gets cut... but not enough to really effect the deficit, and not enough to do anything about the debt. Let me ask this, what is the point of this? This will not lower taxes one-iota, it won't do anything about our debt problem, and it'll actually cost people their jobs. It's no wonder that the public still doesn't like any of the cuts proposed. The Republican "adult conversation" on deficits is a complete, 100% pure garbage, pile of pony loaf. Not only will it not make matters better, in the long term it makes it worse. This isn't about cutting the deficit. This is about making sure the government can't do anything, and making sure the government doesn't work. This list is garbage, and this House Leadership Team is a complete, sad joke. Did they cut the billions in petroleum and agriculture big business get? No. Did they cut the $100 billion plus that the Defense Department wants to cut? No. They instead fed the ignorance that leads many to believe that we can cut International Aid to balance the budget. This isn't just bad policy. It's bad for America's future.
