Robert Gibbs is on his way out as White House Press Secretary.
Jay Carney, formerly the Communications Director for Vice-President Biden and a reporter for Time, is on his way in. Gibbs, an Obama insider, will head off to Chicago for the re-election campaign. Carney is the beneficiary and gets the promotion.
